Abbreviations:

SSC- standing single crochet
hdc- half double crochet
dc- double crochet
CSDC- chainless starting double crochet
SHDC- standing half double crochet

This pattern is the property of Brooke Rabideau at Bluebabyboutique or DesignsbyBBB. Feel free to sell any items made, but please link back to me if you share. :)

Note: I’ve omitted the chains at the begging of the rounds to get rid of the seam. I’ve added the chainless starting double crochet instead. The CSDC of each round will act like your chain and will be hidden in your work and not crocheted into. Make sure you place your last dc in the same stitch you placed your CSDC, and slst to the 1st dc of the round. You’ll be skipping over the CSDC when you slst to join.  (See pics below)
              CSDC, DC in same stitch

Place your last dc in same stitch as you did your CSDC

Slst to 1st dc to join

Hardly a seam!

Reattach orange yarn with a SSC in the space between your stitches

ch2, skip 1 stitch space, sc in the next space between stitches

Repeat * around ending with a ch1 and slst to join
